So what is URBAN wildlife?

URBAN wildlife are the people, places, objects, sounds and smells we encounter in our everyday life. It is the child's grin, the model's walk and the guitar riff.

It is the soaring skyscraper, the humble home and the family portrait. It is the shiny packet, the metal drum, the sticky goo.

It is that special moment in time when a fellow human being opens the door to their private world and lets you in. That's URBAN Wildlife.

Our aim is to always provide our clients with high-end photography that captures the moment and exceeds their expectations.

Barry Schipplock: Photographer & Creative Director

The earliest recollection I have of my interest in photography were the hours I spent playing with my mothers Kodak Brownie Box camera. From taking countless "photos" with no film in the camera, I graduated to a Kodak Instamatic.

By age seventeen I had saved enough to purchase a Minolta SRT101, my first 35mm SLR camera.

My initial medium was black & white film and later color slides. Many cameras later I now shoot with the latest in Canon cameras, through lenses ranging from a 10mm super-wide-angle up to a 500mm image-stabilized zoom.

Whenever possible I shoot using ambient light driven by the theory that what you see should always be what you get.

While Rock and Roll photography is my passion I can equally apply my creative direction to portraiture, fashion and commercial projects.
